Fall in Medina, TN: Pumpkins, Football, and a Little Real Estate Advice

I love fall in Medina! Between football games, pumpkin patches, hayrides, and Halloween, there’s always something going on. And if you’ve ever been trick-or-treating in one of our neighborhoods, you know we don’t do Halloween halfway!

One of my favorite things about living here is how much our community does together. From the kids playing ball to families getting together for fall activities, it’s a great place to call home!

Fall Fun Around Medina

If you’re looking for something to do with the family, there are a couple of local events coming up!

Fall Festival at Antioch Baptist Church is Sunday, October 25, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at 425 Antioch Road in Humboldt. There will be fun for the whole family!

South Gibson County High School Trunk or Treat is Monday, October 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM in the front parking lot of the high school. The Beta Club is hosting this annual community event with games, candy, and more!

And if you’re looking for pumpkins, Green Acres Farm in nearby Milan is always a favorite fall stop. Between pumpkin picking, the corn maze, and other activities, there’s plenty for the kids to enjoy.

And on Saturday, November 28, the Small Business Saturday Holiday Market is from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Historic Downtown Medina. It’s a great chance to shop local and get a head start on Christmas!

Of course, there’s also football, Halloween, and plenty of neighborhood fun going on. Before we know it, we’ll be getting ready for Christmas in Medina!

Thinking About Buying or Selling Before the Holidays?

Here’s something you might not realize. Fall can actually be a great time to buy or sell a home!

Most people think of spring as real estate season, but there are some advantages to making a move before the end of the year.

If you’re buying: There may be fewer buyers looking, which can mean less competition. Sellers who have their homes listed this time of year may also have a particular reason they need to move. Sometimes that creates an opportunity to negotiate on price, repairs, or closing costs.

If you’re selling: Don’t assume you need to wait until spring! Buyers looking during the holidays are often serious about finding a home. With fewer homes competing for attention, yours may have an opportunity to stand out. For a few more tips, here’s my post on how to sell during the holiday season.

And if you’re hoping to move before Christmas, now is a good time to get started. Buying or selling a home takes time, and the holidays have a way of sneaking up on us!

Of course, every situation is different. What matters most is what’s happening right here in Medina and West Tennessee, not just what you’re hearing about the national housing market.
